Brantas Abipraya Builds Multipurpose Container Port Access Road Ring Lane, Supports Labuan Bajo Super Priority Tourist Destination
Labuan Bajo, 18 January 2024 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) continuously develops Indonesia with superior infrastructure works. This is proven by the construction and improvement of roads, adding lanes to the Multipurpose Container Port Access Road (Wae Kelambu). This work is one of the Government's efforts to support Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) as a Super Priority Tourist Destination (DPSP) with a length of 7,682 km. The construction project, which began work in 2023, is targeted for completion in September 2024.
Muhammad Toha Fauzi, Director of Operations I Brantas Abipraya said, in accordance with the General Guidelines for Integrated Infrastructure Development for Tourism Strategic Areas - P3TB, that the Komodo National Park (TNK) and Labuan Bajo are located in the Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, which is one Key Tourism Area ( KTA) and become a Super Priority Tourist Destination and Core Tourism Area at KSPN Labuan Bajo.
Separately, Sugeng Rochadi, Main Director of Brantas Abipraya added, "The KSPN Labuan Bajo program is a national strategic program, so the supporting infrastructure must be followed up. This development is Brantas Abipraya's effort to support increased connectivity in the context of developing DPSP Labuan Bajo."
As additional information, not only is building the Access Road Ring Lane for the Wae Kelambu Multipurpose Container Port, this State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) construction has also arranged other areas of Labuan Bajo. Among other things, Brantas Abipraya has also completed work on improving facilities supporting the 42nd ASEAN Summit (Summit) in Labuan Bajo, namely at Puncak Waringin, the Road and Sidewalk Arrangement project on the Sp. Binongko – Sp. Sylvia, and West Manggarai Police Command Headquarters (Mako).
Sugeng added that Brantas Abipraya also built the Anak Munting Reservoir in Labuan Bajo as an effort to improve national water resources infrastructure. The Anak Munting Reservoir can hold water with a capacity of almost 160,000 cubic meters, with a pool area of 4.5 hectares (ha). Previously, this BUMN had also completed work on the KSPN Super Prioritas Labuan Bajo Zone three and Zone five infrastructure, known as the Waterfront Marina, an icon of Labuan Bajo.
According to Sugeng, Brantas Abipraya is committed to completing all work, especially in Labuan Bajo, neatly and paying attention to quality as well as aesthetics and greening. This is also Brantas Abipraya's effort to develop the tourism sector and people's economy in NTT, especially Labuan Bajo.
"Infrastructure development to support the Labuan Bajo DPSP must be carried out in a spirit of acceleration. "Hopefully all the facilities and infrastructure built by Brantas Abipraya can help improve the quality of life of the surrounding community," concluded Sugeng.
