The Pandemic is Not Yet Gone, Brantas Abipraya Continues to Give out Free Masks04 September 2020
Bogor, 4 September 2020 - Until now, Indonesia has been covered with the Corona Virus Disease 2019 pandemic aka Covid-19, the number of additional positive cases is creeping up every day. As a measure to anticipate and suppress Covid-19, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) has intensified its program for distributing masks to the communities around its projects. Known as one of the construction SOEs, Abipraya is not only focused on distributing hundreds of masks in stages, this time at the Ciawi Dry Dam Project in Bogor, West Java.
"We are very concerned about the current conditions, so Abipraya is committed to always be there for the people of Indonesia. We continue to distribute aid, in the form of basic necessities, PPE (Personal Protection Attribute) to the medical team and this time we are encouraging again to distribute free masks targeting the community around the project, "said Wima Regianto Putra, Project Manager of PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero).
Wima added, by allocating THR (Tunjangan Hari Raya) funds for Commissioners and Directors, until now Abipraya is still distributing aid to ease the burden on the affected community. He said, these free masks were distributed to encourage people to live healthy and disciplined in obeying the Covid-19 health protocol. The location for the distribution of free masks at the Ciawi Dam Project is not without reason. Its location in Cisarua District and Bogor Regency is a densely populated area, not to mention the many tourist attractions and an array of appetizing culinary spots along Cisarua, of course this invites many people.
"The people themselves should be at the forefront. Meanwhile, medical personnel are at the forefront of handling this outbreak. So we want to grow and strengthen public awareness, especially around the Ciawi Dry Dam Project, about the discipline of wearing masks properly. Because using masks correctly can reduce the risk of being exposed to Covid-19, "said Wima.
Strengthening the spirit of sharing, not only the action for free masks on the same day Abipraya also handed over face shield assistance to the Megamendung Community Health Center, Bogor, West Java.
The construction of the Ciawi Dry Dam is part of the flood control master plan for the capital city of Jakarta which is being carried out in stages as a form of the Central Government's commitment to controlling flooding from upstream to downstream. This dam has a total storage volume of 6.05 million m3, which will be useful in reducing upstream flooding by up to 30%, which is 111.75 m3 / second. The contribution of the Ciawi Dry Dam in flood control will also have an impact on the Manggarai floodgate by 11.9%.
