Supporting Healthy Indonesia Program as soon as possible, Brantas Abipraya Optimizing COVID-19 Handling Facilities

Jakarta, September 16, 2021 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) strengthens its commitment to support the Government to accelerate Healthy Indonesia, a construction BUMN that is known to be the most reliable in dam construction, has proven its presence for Indonesia by optimizing COVID-19 handling facilities at several regional points, namely at RSUD dr. H. Abdoel Moeloek, Bandar Lampung, rehabilitation of the Wisma Werdhapura area in Denpasar, Wisma Bima in Badung Regency as a COVID-19 Emergency Isolation Room. In addition, Brantas Abipraya also helped optimize the facilities at the Gorontalo Hospital.

“As a national construction company, we certainly don't just sit around. By building these isolation facilities, Brantas Abipraya will play a role in accelerating the handling and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country," said Miftakhul Anas, Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya.

Anas added that one of the efforts of Brantas Abipraya is the handling of the Alamanda Building at the dr. H. Abdoel Moeloek in Bandar Lampung. In the process, this state-owned construction company that was born 41 years ago has optimized the ICU facilities and isolation rooms which are infrastructure facilities for handling the COVID-19 pandemic. All work has been completed this August, including the installation of railing rams, entrance canopies, corridors and ICU rooms, ceiling work, glass partitions, nursecall installations, CCTV and air conditioning installations.

In Bali, Brantas Abipraya also contributed through rehabilitation work at two points, namely the Wisma Werdhapura area in Denpasar City as an emergency COVID-19 isolation room. At this guesthouse, Brantas Abipraya renovated it so that 121 rooms and 191 beds are available. As for Badung Regency, this emergency response work completed the emergency isolation facility at Wisma Bima 1 with 34 rooms and 68 beds, Wisma Bima 2 was equipped with 89 rooms, 164 beds. All of them were completed in just two weeks, starting on 23 July 2021 and completed on 4 August 2021.

Not only that, the seriousness of Brantas Abipraya in supporting the Government in dealing with the outbreak has been proven at the beginning of the pandemic. This is evidenced by the persistence of fighting COVID-19, preparing for the conversion of the Kemayoran Athlete House into the first COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RS) in Indonesia according to the direction of President Joko Widodo at the time. As additional information, currently Brantas Abipraya has also just started optimizing the COVID handling facilities at RSD Gorontalo, this work has also started on August 23, 2021 and is targeted for completion on September 28, 2021.

In addition to optimizing health facilities, we continue to distribute assistance, in the form of basic necessities, masks, PPE (Personal Protective Attributes), providing free vaccines and increasing personal protection for Abipraya personnel by providing flu vaccines, phenomia and vitamin C," concluded Anas.
