Strengthening Synergy, Brantas Abipraya and PUPR Hold a Basketball Friendly Match

21 June 2022

Jakarta, June 21, 2022 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) strengthen cohesiveness and friendship by holding a sports friendly match. Not long ago they competed together in badminton (14/6), this time the Abipraya Basketball Team met the PUPR Basketball Team at the Bulungan Sports Center (GOR), South Jakarta.

“This friendly match is indeed on the agenda and must be placed on the sidelines of our busy schedule. Believing that sports in addition to being healthy, this activity can also strengthen the long-standing harmonious relationship with PUPR," said Miftakhul Anas as Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya.

Anas added that the friendly match between the two institutions can increase synergy, strengthen friendship and build cohesiveness. This match was quite tough, even though the final result was not the goal, the two teams competed against each other for strategies and points. In that match, Abipraya wore a blue jersey, while the PUPR Basketball Team wore a white jersey. The match, which started at half past seven in the afternoon, was not felt because it was exciting and very warm and full of laughter and ended at eight in the evening.

Not only friendly matches with PUPR, friendly matches are also often held by these construction SOEs, including with the Ministry of SOEs and several other agencies. As additional information, Brantas Abipraya, which is a state-owned construction company (BUMN) which is the best in water infrastructure development, has many sports clubs that are fostered and regularly practice every week. In addition to badminton, which is played every Monday and Wednesday in the multipurpose room on the 6th floor of the Abipraya Head Office, Abipraya also has basketball, aerobics, nature lovers, table tennis, soccer and futsal clubs.

Anas said that Abipraya was proactive in providing a place and facilities for Abipraya people to share their hobbies, especially in sports. This is because a busy office routine certainly makes time for sports activities thin.

“Busy work in the office or on projects, of course, Abipraya people must still make time for exercise. Here, Abipraya fully supports sports activities for its people. Because it is well realized that later this can help Abipraya Personnel in implementing a healthy lifestyle, as well as increasing their productivity in working to build the country," concluded Anas.
