Later, this dam can accommodate water with a total capacity of 32.67 million cubic meters and an area of 365 hectares of inundation, so that later during the dry season this dam can supply water. Not only that, the presence of the Semantok Dam can also provide benefits as a flood controller, because of its large capacity, this makes the dam able to hold abundant water during the rainy season. Later it also has the potential to provide raw water of 312 liters per second.

"In addition, the existence of the Semantok Dam can also reduce the risk of flooding by 137 cubic meters per second. With the completion of the Semantok Dam later, we hope to add to the list of dams built by Brantas Abipraya in East Java, after the inauguration of the Tukul Dam by President Joko Widodo in Pacitan Regency earlier this year," said Anas.
