Prioritize Employee Safety, Abipraya Holds First Aid Training

Jakarta, June 8, 2022 – As one of the leading state-owned construction companies in Indonesia, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) puts the safety of workers first in carrying out their functions, both in the office and on projects. Work accidents are not something that anyone wants, especially for companies and employees. For this reason, Abipraya provides various adequate facilities to anticipate accidents at work, one of which is by holding First Aid training in Accidents (P3K) which is held at the Abipraya Head Office (Jakarta, 8/6).

“Although first aid is not a perfect treatment that has an immediate effect, the presence of first aid in the workplace will have many benefits in preventing the severity of injuries, reducing suffering, and even saving the lives of the victims. That's why Abipraya routinely holds first aid training for all employees,” explained Miftakhul Anas, Corporate Secretary of PT Brantas Abipraya.

This first aid training presented dr. Fitria Ramadhanty as the company doctor. Activities are filled with comprehensive material, namely written material and continued with hands-on practice. As for some of the tips conveyed by dr.Fitria to provide first aid in work accidents, among others; don't panic, keep the victim away from the next accident, pay attention to breathing, heart rate, bleeding, and signs of shock, don't move the victim in a hurry, and most importantly to immediately refer the victim to the nearest treatment center.

"It is hoped that with the implementation of the first aid training this time, Abipraya employees can have the basic ability to prevent fatalities, and be able to provide quick and appropriate rescue action when an accident occurs in the workplace," concluded Anas.
