Kuningan, January 16, 2018 - To strengthen the commitment of PT Brantas Abipraya to always support the Nawa Cita program launched by President Joko Widodo's Government, Abipraya is optimistic to finish the Kuningan Dam project in West Java by the end of this year. Later this dam will encourage food stability, as a source of raw water and can be useful as a power plant.

"The dam is planned to be filled or impounded and completed by the end of 2018," said Slamet Haryono, Project Manager of Kuningan Dam PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero).

Implemented from November 2013, until now the physical progress of the project scope of work of Brantas Abipraya has reached 92.81%. Haryono admitted that the construction of the dam with an area of ​​221.59 hectares can be completed by the end of 2018. Adding to his explanation, Abipraya's scope of work in this project is access road works, dodge buildings, spillways, intakes, turbines, facility buildings and plugging.

The dam that is located in Randusari Village, Cibeureum District, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province has a total storage volume of 28.669 million cubic meters (with an effective effectiveness of 26,459 cubic meters and 2,210 cubic meters). The Kunangan Dam pool area consists of 5 villages and 2 subdistricts of Cibeureum (Randusari Village, Kawungsari Village, Sukarapih Village) and Karangkencana Subdistrict (Tanjungkerta Village and Simpay Jaya Village) of Kuningan Regency.

Dams carried out through KSO PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) will be a source of water for the Cileuweung Irrigation Area of ​​1,000 hectares and Cijangkelok Irrigation Area of ​​2,000 hectares. In addition, it also provides benefits as flood control, raw water with a capacity of 300 liters / sec and Hydropower (PLTA) of 535.60 Kva.
