23 November 2021

Jakarta, 23 November 2021 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) again supports health workers (nakes) to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic through the East Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). This state-owned company (State-Owned Enterprise) which is engaged in the construction sector also handed over personal protective equipment (PPE) and face shields. A series of actions to handle the pandemic have been carried out by Brantas Abipraya, this assistance is also a commitment to help the community and the Government in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19.

"As one of the SOEs, Brantas Abipraya is here to always provide support to the Government, collaborating in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Hopefully, this contribution can boost the spirit of the health workers as the frontline," said Miftakhul Anas as Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya.

Anas also gave encouragement to the health workers, the East Jakarta PMI team who is working hard to carry out this noble service in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. He said that every month Brantas Abipraya continues to distribute aid in an effort to overcome the spread of this epidemic. This time the BUMN, which is known as an expert in the construction of the dam, distributed 50 PPE and 50 face shields. Although the numbers are not large, it is hoped that this small ammunition can encourage the spirit of the health workers in their duties.

Through the previous Brantas Abipraya Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL), similar actions have also been carried out. Not only in Jakarta, in anticipating and suppressing the spread of COVID-19, through projects that are being worked on by Brantas Abipraya, this BUMN has also distributed free masks to people around the project environment.

This action is believed to be able to reduce the spread of the epidemic. Anas explained, because as a community we must play an active role with health workers as the frontline to stop the spread of COVID-19. Together, we work together to help ease the work of medical personnel who are already getting overwhelmed. So, through this action, we want to invite the public to keep the spirit of applying the discipline of wearing masks.

In addition to using funds from TJSL, Brantas Abipraya also allocates THR funds (Tunjangan Hari Raya) for Commissioners and Directors to ease the burden on people affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia.

“Brantas Abipraya will always be there for Indonesia, giving its full role in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. At the office, in the project environment, in the completion of the National Strategic Project (PSN), we never let our guard down and slack off in applying the 5M health protocol discipline, hopefully we are tired of being a field of worship. And hopefully our enthusiasm can reduce the number of the spread of this epidemic," concluded Anas.
