Improving the Quality of Sanitation Services in Jambi, Brantas Abipraya Builds a Domestic Wastewater Management System

Jakarta, 25 May 2023 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) is currently working on the construction of a waste water management system or what is called the B1 Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Jambi. This development was carried out as an effort by the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) engaged in the construction industry to improve access and quality of proper sanitation services in Jambi.

"In the construction of the Jambi WWTP B1 project, the development items carried out by Abipraya include road and bridge construction, tank buildings and buildings. We are optimistic that the work will be serious about the commitment to implementing K3 (Occupational Safety and Health) in the work environment," said Muhammad Toha Fauzi, Director of Operations 1 Brantas Abipraya.

Toha added, the existence of this WWTP can later be useful for wastewater treatment, to improve domestic wastewater services with a centralized system in urban areas. So that with WWTP B1 Jambi it can improve public health status, maintain the quality of groundwater, surface water and raw water, create a clean and healthy environment.

In the process, Brantas Abipraya always prioritizes K3, quality and tidiness. This project also won the Zero Accident award from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia and the Governor of Jambi Province. This achievement is the result of the collaboration of Abipraya Personnel in the project in their commitment to implementing K3.

"We are very serious in implementing K3 culture as the main foundation. This is implemented in order to achieve the Company's K3 (Safety Culture Maturity Level) performance. We are optimistic that the WWTP B1 Jambi project can be completed this year with the best quality," concluded Toha.
