Focused on Conducting Rentang Irrigation Modernization, Brantas Abipraya is Optimistic That It Will Be Finished on Time

Indramayu, April 29th 2021 – PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) is a State-Owned Enterprise of Indonesia that engaged in construction, is currently focused on completing an irrigation canals modernization project in Indramayu and Majalengka Regencies or known as (Rentang Irrigation Modernization Project) RIMP LSS 05. This is a form of Brantas Abipraya’s effort to support the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) which intensifies food security program through infrastructure development. Through RIMP LSS 05 project which is being worked on by this State-Owned Construction Enterprise. This project is also targeted for completion on August 14th, 2023.

 

“Recently, we are working on the installation of canal lining precast in Pegedangan Village, Tukdana District. This canal modernization work includes the stages of work, such as installation of canal construction, formwork, as well as slab casting and LC (Lean Concrete), which lately is being executed in the secondary canal of Cangko, 1.230,60 meters long,” said Candra Nata Maulana, as the Project Manager of RIMP LSS 05 Project, Brantas Abipraya.

 

He added that the project is now being continued in Sukadana Village, which the construction process includes the foundation repair by laying gravel, slab casting and LC, installing iron reinforcement, also formwork in the secondary canal of Tukdana SS.B.TA 1 and SS.B.TA 2, 1.080 meters long. Moreover, he explained that the project on the edge of the Bangodua secondary canal is also worked on gravel reinforcement, lining precast installation, precast, capping finishing, and trimming the pile of soil material on the edge of the Bangodua secondary canal.

 

Furthermore, as an effort to be vigilant against the overflowing Cimanuk River in Indramayu, the Abipraya project team in the Karanggetas secondary canal is also draining the silted canal and making gabion stones for the embankment reinforcement in Cimanuk River, Karanggetas Village. It is being conducted in order to withstand the stream that could potentially damage the embankment and cause a flood, so that the overflowing river at the beginning of this year would not occur again.

 

Meanwhile, the irrigation modernization in Majalengka Regency as of April 2021, Brantas Abipraya is now focused on installing a U Flume typical for the secondary canal, along 1000 meters.

Its determination in implementing OHSE on all of the projects that are being worked on was able to bring Brantas Abipraya to achieve the WSO Indonesia Safety Culture Awards (WISCA) from the World Safety Organization (WSO), as a company that is committed and implements Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHSE) at a global level very well or it can be said as level 4 (silver) on February 3rd, 2021. Through survey results and in-depth observations, this level proves that Brantas Abipraya has been tested as a proactive and superior company in the safety aspect, both in the field and the administration.
