Collaboration of BUMN, TJSL Brantas Abipraya for Labuan Bajo
15 September 2023Jakarta, 15 September 2023 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) through Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) activities collaborates with 23 other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) for Labuan Bajo. Synergizing with a program with the theme The Spirit of BUMN Collaboration in Efforts for Superior Human Resources and Improving Community Welfare in Labuan Bajo, this TJSL program is aimed at the people of Komodo Island, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
"Educational facilities and infrastructure on Komodo Island still need attention, there are still schools with inadequate classrooms. "In response to this problem, through this collaboration, Brantas Abipraya will renovate educational facilities and facilities, and later will also continue with empowering fishing communities," said Tumpang Muhammad, Director of Human Resources and General Affairs, Brantas Abipraya.
Renovation of Komodo Island Elementary School's educational facilities has begun. This program focuses on repairing the roof frame, installing the ceiling, continuing to install permanent walls and painting as well as improving the aesthetics of the room. Not only renovating classes, this BUMN synergy is also revitalizing the school's internet network. This was done because the difficulty of internet access on Komodo Island is an unresolved problem. So, through the Internet Network Revitalization program, it will be carried out by focusing on activities in the form of providing adequate internet network support equipment, periodic network maintenance for one year, and managing the RT-RW Net network which can be enjoyed by the surrounding community, and can also be a source of income for Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES).
Apart from that, this BUMN synergy also handed over assistance in the form of science laboratory teaching aids at Komodo Island Junior High School. It is hoped that this series of educational assistance programs can improve the quality of learning.
In the Economic Sector Program, these 23 BUMNs collaborate to empower fishing communities. This is motivated by the current conditions in Labuan Bajo where the number of tourists continues to increase so that it can be an opportunity for local communities to market their superior products and improve their economic conditions.
"The community is an important part of the progress of Brantas Abipraya, this is proof of our commitment as a construction BUMN which not only focuses on developing Indonesia through infrastructure works but also by contributing to prosperity, helping others through the TJSL program," said Tumpang.
