Brantas Abipraya's Subsidiary Helps EBT

Jakarta, August 2nd, 2017 - PT Brantas Energi, a subsidiary of PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) through a Special Purpose Company (SPC) Independent Power Producer (IPP) PT Brantas Cakrawala Energi and PT Brantas Hidro Energi bagged a power purchase agreement (Power Purchase Agreement / PPA) New Renewable Energy (EBT) with PT PLN (Persero) witnessed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta.

"This is proof of our commitment to increase the use of EBT Abipraya to declare the electrification ratio relatively remote areas far from existing networks," said Sutjipto, as the Director of the Brantas Energi.

Strengthen the explanation, Sutjipto adding that this time Brantas Energi get two PPA, in the South Coast of West Sumatra Power Plant mini-hydro (micro power) Sako with a capacity of 2 x 3 MW with SPC Brantas Cakrawala Energi and micro power Padang Jar-2 in Kaur District Bengkulu Province With SPC Brantas Hidro Energi of 2 x 3.5 MW.
Reaffirmed Sutjipto statement, it is planned that both will start construction this year with the target in the second half of 2018 can already operate so that it can supply electrical energy to the electricity system of PLN.

Earlier on May 16, 2017 the subsidiary Brantas Abipraya has inaugurated the operation of micro power works PT Sahung Brantas Energi namely SPC companies Brantas Energi in Bengkulu, the micro power Padang Jar, micro power plants has a capacity of 3 x 2 MW, was built in the village of Bungin Tambun III Utilizing the swift flow of the river Padang Guci. This power plant has also officially operated on commercial status as of April 14, 2017.

Other achievements have been pocketed Brantas Energi through the work of PLTS Gorontalo 2 MWP capacity that has been completed in 2016 ago. In order to support the 35,000 MW Plant Development program proclaimed by President Joko Widodo, this project is expected to become a milestone and a contribution to the development of EBT which is the Government's commitment.

"We hope that with the construction of two (2) new micro power which we have signed, Brantas Energy can help to increase electrification in Indonesia, because the highly anticipated electric society, especially in disadvantaged areas," said Sutjipto.
