Brantas Abipraya Prepares Infrastructure in Labuan Bajo for ASEAN Summit 2023

Jakarta, March 15, 2023 - Proving its commitment in making Labuan Bajo a super priority destination and supporting the international event of the ASEAN Summit (Summit), PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) built several infrastructures in Labuan Bajo, including the Anak Munting Pond in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. Ensuring that the work was completed with superior quality and safety, Director General Cipta Karya Diana Kusumastuti accompanied by Main Director of Brantas Abipraya Sugeng Rochadi visited the location on Tuesday, March 14 2023.

"Beginning work on December 2022, we are optimistic that the construction of this reservoir can be completed on time in April 2023. The scope of work for Brantas Abipraya includes the maindam, jogging track and spillway," Sugeng Rochadi, Main Director of Brantas Abipraya.

As additional information, this working visit was carried out to ensure the readiness of Labuan Bajo as the location for the ASEAN Summit in May 2023. Through the construction of this reservoir, Brantas Abipraya is showing its active contribution in supporting infrastructure in Labuan Bajo for the 2023 Summit. As an effort to support the operation of the tourist area, The Anak Munting Reservoir is prepared with a raw water capacity of nearly 160,000 cubic meters.

Not only prioritizing quality and quality of construction, in every construction project that is being carried out by Brantas Abipraya it also pays attention to environmental aspects.

Apart from Embung Anak Munting, the infrastructure support provided by Brantas Abipraya can also be seen in the construction of the West Manggarai Police Command Headquarters. Then this construction BUMN has also completed the work on the Marina Beach Waterfront, Labuan Bajo in 2021. The work known as the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) Marina Bukit Pramuka Beach, Brantas Abipraya has completed work in zone 3 and zone 5. The KSPN arrangement aims to create open spaces and spaces for creative activity for the public and tourists to enjoy the beauty of Labuan Bajo's sea.
