Brantas Abipraya Holds an Anti-Bribery Management System Surveillance Audit Opening Meeting

Jakarta, 12 August 2021 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) held an opening meeting in the context of implementing the ISO 37001:2016 Quality Management Standard on Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP). The event, which was held virtually, was attended by employees from the Board of Directors of Brantas Abipraya, Insan Abipraya consisting of echelon I officials and a team of auditors.
In this activity, Sugeng Rochadi as the President Director of Brantas Abipraya conveyed his direction that in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia Number S-117/S.MBU/02/2020 dated 17 February 2020 regarding ISO 37001:2016 Certification of Bribery Management Systems (SMAP) is a matter that must be implemented as well as possible, because SMAP is a form of compliance in running a professional business and is also our effort to support good corporate governance.
“All Work Units, Business Units must always be ready and obedient to implement ISO related to this SMAP. This is to support Brantas Abipraya to become a company with high integrity and free of bribes. This is also our strategy as part of a BUMN that carries out a culture of AKHLAK, namely AMANAH, in which there are moral and ethical values, "said Sugeng.
Sugeng added that every individual, every Abipraya Personnel from the top layer to the layer below it must ensure that SMAP runs well. Not only that, Sugeng also advised that Abipraya's partners also need to continue to be socialized about this in order to get a complete understanding of SMAP. Starting from the scope, covering the benefits, to the stages of implementation.
The implementation of a good corporate governance culture at Brantas Abipraya must also be carried out in a sustainable manner by applying the Company's ethical culture (Code of Conduct) both internally and externally. Sugeng hopes that SMAP is not just a bribe prevention design. “In the future, SMAP must really become a habit, mentality and behavior of the Abipraya People on a daily basis. Of course this requires support from all lines. Starting from top level management as a role model to the bottom,” concluded Sugeng.
