Brantas Abipraya BUMN Synergy, Realizing National Energy Security

Jakarta, April 1, 2021 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) together with PT PLN (Persero) and 8 other Construction SOEs, namely PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk, PT Amarta Karya (Persero), PT Nindya Karya (Persero) and Perum Perumnas, also 1 BUMN Banking, namely PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) ) Tbk, signed a memorandum of understanding in order to realize independence and national energy security in order to achieve clean energy through the movement to use induction stoves, at the Ministry of BUMN.


"This collaboration is one proof of Brantas Abipraya's commitment as one of the BUMNs whose existence is always present for Indonesia. We do not only play a role in developing the country through our construction work, here we also want to contribute to supporting the country in creating national energy security, ”said Suradi, Director of Finance and Human Resources at Brantas Abipraya.


In line with Suradi's explanation, on the same occasion the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir in his remarks said that this synergy was a concrete step from BUMN in an effort to increase national energy security, namely by ensuring the absorption of domestic energy.


In this synergy, Brantas Abiraya plays an active role in supporting the induction stove movement in housing and apartment unit projects that will be worked on, this is so that the use of clean energy and domestic energy can be more massive.


"Through the synergy of BUMN in encouraging the movement to use induction stoves, it can reduce energy import costs and realize national energy independence and resilience. This program is very beneficial for various groups, so it needs to be echoed in a sustainable manner on a larger scale, "added Erick.


"Basically, the use of electric induction stoves saves the cost of the user itself and from a safety point of view it is more guaranteed, so that safety from the fire element is minimized, while at the same time supporting energy security," added Suradi.


For additional information, this signing was carried out by the President Director of PLN, Zulkifli Zaini with the Director of Finance and HR Brantas Abipraya, Suradi, the Director of Wijaya Karya Agung Budi Waskito, the President Director of Adhi Karya namely Entus Asnawi, the President Director of Housing Development Novel Arsyad, the Main Director of Waskita Karya. Destiawan Soewardjono, Managing Director of Hutama Karya Budi Harto, Managing Director of Nindya Karya Haedar A. Karim, Managing Director of Amarta Karya namely Nikolas Agung RS, Managing Director of Perum Perumnas Budi Saddewa Soediro, and President Director of BTN, Haru Koesmahargyo. The signing which took place on Wednesday (31/3) was witnessed by BUMN Minister Erick Thohir and PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.


"Hopefully with this collaboration between BUMNs, Brantas Abipraya can support the increase in the use of induction stoves through the residential development we are working on, and can help the country reduce LPG imports and save foreign exchange," said Suradi.
