Abipraya Futsal Team Wins 4th Place in 2019 Forwapera Property Cup

Public Housing Journalists Forum (Forwapera) Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) held the futsal tournament Property Cup XIII 2019. The day-to-day match took place last Saturday (5/10).

One of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) engaged in construction, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) won fourth place in the tournament held at Goedang Futsal, Kalimalang, East Jakarta.

Divided into four groups, the annual tournament was attended by 12 teams namely Abipraya, DKI Bank, Kreasi Prima Land, Intiland, BTN, Modernland, BNI, APLN, Metland, Triniti Dinamik, SMF, DJPI PUPR.

Abipraya won success in two matches in the first round after beating Intiland 5-0 and Triniti Dinamik with the same score 5-0. With these results, the Brantas Abipraya team emerged as champions of Group B.

Entering the quarter-finals, Abipraya's futsal team faced Group A runners up, namely Kreasi Prima Land. Left behind 2-0, Abipraya managed to come back and win the match with a score of 6-2.

Abipraya sauntered into the semi-finals for the first time and faced a strong BNI team that previously defeated SMF 10-2. But with all the efforts put in place, Abipraya must recognize BNI's superiority with a score of 4-1.

In the final round match, Abipraya had to face the Metland futsal team. Metland who managed to excel, made the Abipraya team had to settle for ending the tournament in fourth position.

A one-month rigorous preparation paid off with the fourth podium won for the Abipraya futsal team along with a trophy and a cash prize of Rp1 million. Division 2 Marketing Staff Reza Apriansyah as team captain appeared on stage to receive a prize from Media Indonesia Editor Ahmad Punto as the secretary of the futsal tournament committee.

Reza said, this was the maximum result his team could offer. "With the current condition of the team with all the dynamics of the squad that happened, we are both proud and surprised at yesterday's results, being able to go that far," he explained.

Upon these results, Reza and the team will conduct an evaluation to be even better in the future. "We are confident in all the potential players we have in projects and the center. Thank you for all your support," concluded Reza.
